Partner with the Founding Team to create a world-class CS practice in Data Operations, one of the fastest-growing enterprise opportunities. Switchboard's Customer Success team is a strategic differentiator; we are highly professional, technical, and results-driven.
To accelerate our customer expansions and maintain industry-leading renewal rates, we are seeking a talented Customer Success Engineer who excels at driving strategic data projects in partnership with enterprise customers. Collaborate with Switchboard's Engineering and Marketing teams to ensure that customers can design, implement, and launch robust data solutions to power their most challenging marketing and revenue analytics projects.
This key role reports to the Director of Customer Success, works closely with our CTO/Co-Founder, and is part of the CS team. We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with customers, thrives on launching high-value data projects, and welcomes challenges as opportunities to grow both personally and in their career.
Responsibilities

Work directly with the CTO on a daily basis developing and refining data solution architecture for market-leading digital customers

Develop data models and reports from design, testing to production, and ensure customers realize value within the first 30 days of a new engagement

Pre-sales and post-sales: Provide ongoing technical leadership on customer projects by understanding business cases, technical and business requirements, and proposing technical solutions

Educate internal teams regarding customer feedback to shape the product roadmap

Continually help identify, develop, and implement data operations best practice

Willingness to travel (mostly nationally, occasional international) as required (total travel <10%)

Experience
-
1-2+ years in a customer-facing role

Proficient in SQL and able to skillfully extract and transform data as needed

Experience managing a customer project from design to launch

Preferred: 2+ years of some experience in dimensional data modeling, and Data Warehousing (BigQuery, RedShift)

Preferred: Experience working with data from ad servers, Google Analytics/Omniture, Ecommerce systems

Preferred: Experience in an early-stage startup environment

Preferred background: Data Analytics, Consulting, Technical Account Manager at a SaaS company

Big data analytics continues to swell into a multi billion dollar market. Companies are looking for the fastest, easiest way to extract value. However, only organizations with robust resources and highly skilled data science teams are able to swiftly monetize and take advantage of data analytics.
The oversized problem around data has grown exponentially for the digital media market. Worldwide digital ad spending increased from $335 billion in 2019 to $378 billion in 2020. This year, as the overall ad market rebounds, digital spending will increase by 20.4% to more than $450 billion. The business health of media agencies, publishers, and trading desks are driven from efficiently capturing digital insights. These organizations are drowning in data as they often lack engineering & data science resources to analyze and monetize content.
