Opportunity

Partner with the Founding Team to create a world-class pre-sales practice in Data Operations, one of the fastest-growing enterprise opportunities. Switchboard's Solution Engineering team is a strategic differentiator; we are highly professional, technical, and results-driven.

 

To accelerate our growth, we are seeking a talented Senior DevOps Engineer who excels at building automated systems.  Collaborate with Switchboard's Engineering and Customer Success teams to ensure that bug fixes are deployed quickly and the system is hardened against security threats. 

 

This key role reports to our Chief Architect and is part of the engineering team.  We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with our Kubernetes ecosystem and welcomes challenges as opportunities to grow both personally and in their career.

Responsibilities

  • Continually improve automated pipelines to build, test and deploy to production systems running on Kubernetes in AWS.

  • Continually improve automated checks of pull requests.

  • Connect tools to track CVE, analyze code for security vulnerabilities, and limit third-party vulnerabilities.

  • Design and build enterprise security features (SSO, Multi-tenancy).

  • Run Spark on Kubernetes.

  • Deploy to multiple clouds (AWS and GCP).

Experience

  • 5+ years of DevOps engineering

  • 2+ years with Python

  • Preferred: Running a system in AWS (VPC, EC2, IAM, CloudWatch)

  • Preferred: Working in an early-stage startup environment

  • Preferred: Running a system on Kubernetes

Preferred Experience

  • Automated functional and load testing

  • Experience deploying and troubleshooting in production environments

  • Familiarity with AWS and Kubernetes a plus
